What is Aura: Quran Recitation & Voice AI Trainer?
Aura is a mobile app designed to help improve Quran recitation (including Tajweed-related pronunciation) and also train pronunciation in multiple world languages using speech recognition and real-time, word-by-word feedback.
Which Quran reciters and Quran content are included in the app?
Aura includes a complete Quran directory covering all 114 Surahs, with the ability to practice full Surah recitation or specific Ayahs. It provides high-fidelity audio by master reciters including Sheikh Mahmoud Khalil Al-Husary and Sheikh Muhammad Siddiq Al-Minshawi, displayed with clear Uthmani script.
How does the AI pronunciation feedback work during recitation?
Aura uses Google Speech recognition services to analyze your voice in real time. It shows a dynamic waveform, provides an accuracy score (e.g., a percentage), and highlights words with a word-by-word breakdown (green for correctly pronounced words and red for words needing improvement).
Does Aura support pronunciation practice for languages other than Arabic/Quran recitation?
Yes. Aura includes a multi-language pronunciation coach for English, French, Spanish, and German, with adjustable playback speeds (normal 1.0x and slow 0.7x) and Text-to-Speech (TTS) reference audio.
Can I record and export my recitations or practice audio?
Yes. You can listen back to your recorded voice after practice and save your personal recordings as MP3 files to your device. The app also allows saving authentic Sheikh recitations for offline listening.
What permissions does Aura need, and why?
Aura requests microphone access (Record Audio) only when you press the microphone button to analyze speech and provide pronunciation scores. It also uses storage/media access via Android’s Storage Access Framework so you can choose where to save MP3 files.
Does Aura store or share my voice recordings?
According to the official description, microphone input is used strictly for analysis when you press the microphone button, and your private voice is not stored or shared on external databases.
